Visas
Citizens of the countries listed below require a visa to enter Colombia. However, we highly recommend confirming directly with consular posts of the Republic of Colombia, even if you are a Laissez-Passer, an OAS – Travel Document or an ordinary, official and diplomatic passport holder. To request an official letter of invitation for your visa application, please complete this form and email it to yquiroz@ifc.org, attaching a copy of your passport identification page. Kindly indicate VISA on the subject line. Turnaround time is approximately 5 business days.

Health Information
The recommended vaccinations for Colombia are typhoid and Hepatitis A. Yellow fever vaccinations are required for anyone coming from a yellow fever risk country. There is no risk for malaria in Cartagena, but there may be a risk for dengue and Zika. Protection against insects should be used, particularly during the daytime. Anyone (male or female) who is planning pregnancy or currently pregnant should consult with their physician before traveling. Travelers should carry their own travel insurance for medical emergencies or any medical care.
