International Finance Corporation World Bank

While communities are the ultimate beneficiaries of CommDev’s activities, we support activities targeting different stakeholders, such as local civil society, government authorities at different levels, and private operators. Initially, World Bank Group support for a related investment or related program in support of Government will be required. CommDev will not finance project costs that would normally rest with investors, nor will it subsidize ongoing company costs for the implementation of planned corporate efforts to benefit communities that would have happened in any event. Initially, CommDev’s projects will be sourced and executed through the World Bank Group. As CommDev grows, the requirement of linkage to World Bank Group programs will be reassessed.
