As part of the knowledge sharing component of IFC’s Strategic Community Investment Program in Africa, the proposed regional workshop is designed to share IFC’s new business model on strategic community investment and newly developed tools to measure return on sustainability investments.


In bringing together a variety of companies and practitioners in francophone Africa, the proposed workshop will be used

as platform to:


  1. Share experiences and best practices on corporate social responsibility in Africa and globally, focusing on community investment and new practices;
  2. Launch IFC’s recently developed “Strategic Community Investment Handbook” in the region; and
  3. Showcase the latest trends and tools for strategic decisionmaking around sustainability.
