This activity will deliver workshops to prepare environmental governance indicators to as an incentive tool to improve the performance of public institutions to deliver environmental improvements. The workshops will review draft and final indicator frameworks that emphasize objective criteria to evaluate the public decision-making process, community scorecards and service delivery results so as to inspire public trust for improving the "public goods" in the environment sector. The indicators will provide public officials with benchmarks to improve their performance - and the civil society will have objective feedback to reinforce its confidence to participate in the governance process.
