The workshop, which is a joint initiative of the Compliance Adviser Ombudsman (CAO) of The World Bank Group and the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining (CSRM), will focus on grievance mechanisms and participatory monitoring processes and their application to the resources sector.

The two lead trainers, Susan Wildau and David Atkins, are experienced practitioners with vast experience working with major resource projects in developed and developing countries alike. They have also authored two of the CAO's most recent guidance tools on Project Level Grievance Mechanisms and Participatory Monitoring.

The workshop is geared towards managers and practitioners who are interested in working with communities to build relationships and prevent and manage conflict. It will provide a unique opportunity to learn about leading practice and address practical, real-world challenges in a collegial environment.
