Multi-party conflict resolution is an acid test of leadership. It may look backwards to untangle a vexing problem, or forward to forge an artful and enduring deal. The role requires bringing others to the table and cultivating their highest and best leadership skills. You must then help disputants frame issues, avoid unnecessary distractions, and in the face of actual or impending obstacles, achieve elegant solutions that build consensus, tame stubborn problems and create improbable partnerships.
This workshop will explore key themes, and build new insights and skills in the area of multi-party dispute resolution.
Used correctly, facilitation has a wide range of uses that are good for business and good for policy. Facilitation can be used with internal and external stakeholders. It can be used to gather input, developing new strategies, formulate tractable visions, and prevent, manage or resolve conflicts.
Participants will learn:
• the organisational, social, and psychological dynamics of multi-party challenges.
• how to use facilitated processes to untangle old problems and build new solutions.
• how leaders can deploy the use of facilitated processes to build cohesion and consensus
• skills, tools, and techniques for organising
